a stack with the settings from the screenshot did save a psb file although 'save' option wasn't set

Was the project save psb enabled? If it was then it would use that setting instead... hmmm.

The save checkbox on document is override, maybe I should rename it or something... tricky.
Or maybe its dual... save & override? hmmm I cant remember.

I think its override, and save is in the project...
